Magnesium Oxide (MgO)

Magnesia ceramic is a ceramic material consisting of at least 90% of Magnesium Oxide. It demonstrates good mechanical strength and operates well when uniformly heated or cooled and thermal shock is avoided. It offers superior performance to Alumina, being stable under the temperature of 2200°C. Due to its resistance to Lead-based materials, it is used for piezoelectric materials processing widely.

Magnesium oxide ceramics belong to the cubic crystal system, they have alarge thermal expansion coefficient and a high vapor pressure. The melting point is 2800 ° C, but it is
volatile above 2300 ° C; The specific volume resistance (35V/mm) at high temperature is large.
